Live entertainment and a firewroks show to cap off the event are all part of the days planned festivities.

They've got a lot to do to hiut their planned date, looked like there was plenty still to do when I checked it out at oktoberfest.

Renovated Square Set To Open In 3 Weeks

CINCINNATI -- Planners maintain that Fountain Square will be ready for a grand opening in just three weeks, but the lineup of tenants remains sparse.
In fact, Ingredients will be the only new restaurant on the square for a while. McCormick and Schmick's won't open until November, and workers continue tearing out what's left of the old Limited store to make way for Brazilian bistro Boi Na Braza.
"I thought that maybe there would be a little bit more, they'd have that set up a little bit better. I am quite surprised," Ingredients' John Wedeig said.

Fifth Third Bank said no new tenants have signed on to be a part of the square, but that could change Oct. 14, when the owner of Nicola's said he'll have a big announcement.
"North of the fountain will not be done (for the opening). That is to allow us to finish building the restaurant and to allow Fifth Third to finish the fa?ade work," 3CDC's Bill Donabedian said.
Fountain Square planners said it could be spring before a full slate of tenants is set up. Until then, the managers of Ingredients said they're prepared to handle lunchtime crowds.
